About Joatkajávri fjellstue
The name of our mountain cabin rings familiar if you have followed the TV broadcasts from Finnmarksløpet, where we traditionally are the first and last checkpoint for all dog teams. During autumn and winter, many of Norway's best dog mushers also use the mountain cabin as a regular base for training trips, as it has reliable snow and excellent conditions for sledding. Nevertheless, there are most hikers and, not least, more and more businesses discovering what a trip on the plateau does for body and mind.
